Farm Smarter Topic 2 - Efficient Effluent Management
Efficient effluent management is central to dairy farmers’ general environmental duty. This session will explore how responsible effluent practices can both protect and enhance local soil and water resources while contributing to climate outcomes. Farmers will learn practical, regionally relevant strategies to improve on-farm effluent systems and adopt technologies to enable nutrient recycling and methane capture, and to support productivity gains, environmental stewardship and long-term farm sustainability.
